A New Era for Tunisian Esports: Khalil Bessaoud Appointed National Team Manager for ENC
Excitement is building across Tunisia’s esports community as Khalil Bessaoud  has been officially appointed National Team Manager for Tunisia in the upcoming Esports National Championships (ENC). This appointment marks a strategic shift in Tunisia’s approach to global esports competition, with a renewed emphasis on unity, focus, and high performance.
Tunisia is among more than 100 countries selected to participate in the ENC 2026, a prestigious international competition that showcases national teams in multiple esports titles.

This leadership change followed open and transparent dialogue between the esports governing bodies. Initially, Mohamed Ali Barbouchi was nominated for the role. However, after concerns were raised by members of the Tunisian esports community, the Tunisian Esports Federation, acting as National Team Partner, requested a change in leadership. The aim was to create a supportive, constructive, and distraction-free environment for the players. The ENC organisation responded positively, officially appointing Bessaoud to lead the team.

A Historic Milestone for Tunisia
Tunisia’s involvement as an ENC National Team Partner is more than a competition – it represents a historic step for the country’s esports scene. The partnership has already attracted attention from:
- Local sports communities, recognising esports as a legitimate and rapidly growing competitive arena.
- International media, highlighting North Africa’s rising influence in the global gaming ecosystem.

Looking Ahead: The Road to the ENC
With Khalil Bessaoud at the helm, the Tunisian National Team enters this competitive chapter with renewed focus and strategic vision. As the ENC draws near, all eyes will be on Tunisia to see how this leadership translates into results on the digital battlefield. One thing is certain: Tunisia is poised to make its mark on the global esports stage.
